Information for Youth Groups 14yrs. To 25yrs. old

All of our vessels are available for groups, from late March until the end of October. During the high season, (June, July & August), these yachts may be booked a year in advance, so get your bookings in early to avoid disappointment.

Bulldog is our largest yacht, and is suitable for 12 young people, accompanied by 2 adult instructors/teachers, and will support a mixed group. We will supply a suitably qualified Skipper and Mate.

Our 2 smaller yachts are 38ft, and take up to 6 young persons, plus one adult instructor/teacher. Depending on the number of days booked, we can offer a RYA Competent Crew Certificate on these yachts. 4-5 days is the normal requirement for this certificate.

Taster Days - These are a great way to find out if sailing is for you, and are usually run on a Saturday or a Sunday, in the early part of the season. ( Speak to Edward regarding costs for these days Tel 07774 869029)

Where will we go?

All vessels are MCA coded for commercial use, and depending on the length of the charter we would expect to go around the Solent calling in at Cowes, Yarmouth and around the Isle of Wight. Longer charters will go westward to Poole, Weymouth, Lulworth Cove and into Devon.

Other cruises may take you across the channel, only 60 nautical miles, to Cherbourg or even to the Channel Islands.

If you have individual requirements, we would be very happy to discuss them with you. However, depending on weather conditions, tides and available ports do remember the Skipper’s decision is final.

Yacht Descriptions

Bulldog – a 72ft. two masted sailing yacht, takes 14 paying crew places, which must include at least 2 adults.

Alexander Fairey – a 38ft. sailing yacht, takes 7 paying crew places including at least 1 adult.

Richard Langhorn – a 38ft. sailing yacht, takes 6 paying crew places, including at least one adult.

Costs

The costs apply to all groups, and include Skipper and mate food, mooring fees, foul weather clothing and VAT. There may be subsidies available, please check with the office).

To calculate the cost, you can either charter the entire yacht (see yacht cost), or pay individually (see per person cost).

Complete the Booking Form, and contact us to book your preferred dates. A 20% deposit will secure your booking.
